It is amazing how quickly time goes by, and how long I have made you all wait for another update!

Noah had another bloodwork appointment on May 21. This showed that, while his creatinine levels were still higher than they like, they are slowly coming down on their own!
We were disappointed to find out that the team of doctors had met without us. In their discussions, they had determined that the result of Noah's high levels was due to his bladder. They were started takling about some major, irreversible bladder surgeries. We were not going to be quick to accept any of these options without further testing and meetings. Noah was scheduled for a urodynamics test which tests how much his bladder can hold by filling it up for him. This was scheduled for the end of June.
It was decided that, in the meantime, in order to help this drop faster, the plan was to start doing overnight cathaters. We spoke with different distributors and nurses to get overnight cathaters but this was not an easy process, and the necessay items quite costly.

While waiting to get these supplies, Noah's urodynamic test was bumped to June 2! Rob was able to take Noah to this appointment and was also able to speak with Noah's urologist about the results of this test. Noah's bladder can hold a very large amount of urnie comfortably, with no back pressure being placed on his kidney, As a result, we do not need to do overnight cathaters, and we also no longer need to wake Noah up for him to empty his bladder in the middle of the night! The doctor also said that all of the major bladder surgeries that were discussed he no longer considers necessary since having a large bladder is actually of benfit to Noah.

This was a relief to hear!

This does still mean that there is something else that is causing Noah's creatinine levels to rise, and we don't know what that is.
Noah has another bloodwork appointment schedule for next week and we pray that his levels will have contonued to drop on their own.
The rollercoaster that has been this journey continues. We are so thankful to be able to trust in our God who is in control, and so very thankful to be surrounded by a community of support and prayers.

Noah has been feeling well throughout all of this. Being able to now get a solid, uninterrupted night of sleep has been great (for Noah and for me!) He has been able to do some fun activities with his class:
