He's Back!

When we found out that Noah needed to go back into surgery, I asked Noah if he wanted me to put music on. He said 'yes'. I played a Scripture Lullabies playlist a d the first song that cam on is one that I've posted before, but was so timely once again.

The Lord provided for us in song while we waited. He also provided support by way of people. Rob's Dad was planning to visit him and my sister Brenda was planning to visit me. Both arrived shortly after we received the news that Noah needed to go back into surgery. 

God's providence is incredible!

Noah is out of the Operating Room and is getting settled back in his room in the Paediatric Critical Care Unit.

Surgery went well and Dr. S is pleased!

They had initially placed Rob's kidney at Noah's back, under his liver, but where a kidney usually is. It turns out that the kidney did not like this placement. It was too constrained where it was, so they moved it and placed it on top of Noah's liver. It is much happier here! As soon as the lifted it up the kidney turned completely pink.

They placed a new, bigger drain for around the kidney and that is thankfully flowing well. Noah's bladder had not been draining, so aside from having his regular catheter changed, Noah now also has a catheter draining his bladder out of his stomach.

Noah's bladder is extra large, so we need to make sure it stays empty!

They have inserted 2 nerve blocking catheters to help manage Noah's pain for a few days. This should make him happy!

They are also keeping Noah sedated overnight to help him rest.

Rob has been doing well. They have taken him off of his IV medication and changing to oral has been challenging to get the timing right.

He is still scheduled to go home tomorrow and he's looking forward to that. 

He hopes to stop by and visit Noah, which will be amazing!
