Second Surgery

 Oh wow. Things happened so fast!

Rather than trying to explain things in my own words, I'm going to copy the email that has everything sthat was explained to us (and written down for us because we won't remember after the emotions settle).

This is what Dr S said,

In adults it is very normal go back to the OR 1-2 days after initial surgery,  they go in and check to see if the kidney is pink all over.  If its pink then they will do an ultrasound while they have his abdomen open, then close him back up and do another ultrasound to make sure it remains the same

 It could be that the artery at the bottom 1/3 of the kidney might need to be moved to another artery in Noah’s body, and that will help the perfusion.

 He also said it could be that it is still “sleeping” as it is used to Robs blood pressures being 140-150, and Noah’s pretransplant blood pressures are closer to 88-95, and that we need to raise Noah’s blood pressure higher to help perfuse the kidney more. 

The doctor's going in were very optimistic and assured me that this is common.

Noah's main concern was how much it's going to hurt. He was assured that he has a tram.of people behind him to make sure that he's not in as much pain 

He was so brave! So strong and courageous! God was definitely with Him and continues to be with him.

Noah is still in surgery and I will update when I am able to.
