Rob and Noah went to the hospital this morning. It was pretty strange for me to not be taking Noah this time, but it was a welcome break. Being able to go to church and be encouraged by the singing and preaching of God's Word was an added blessing.
The minister read from Luke 12: 22- 31
And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.
This was a very timely reminder for me!
Noah had bloodwork done and the results are encouraging: his creatinine level is down to 158 (from 251 on Wednesday).
Noah is finished his MRI and now the plan is for them to stay in the hospital room so that urology can come see them. It could be that Noah's high levels are bladder related and not kidney related this time.
There are no biopsy results yet.
An update from Rob later this afternoon:
No biopsy report so far implies that no news is good news!
Urology has been in to see Noah. They said bloodwork shows no sign of infection, and Noah's urine will always show bacteria, so they do not want to treat him with antibiotics.
On Friday Noah came home with a catheter in and they have now taken that out..they want him drink a lot over the next 2 hours and then do a self-catheter like he usually does. Then they are going to do an ultrasound to see how empty his bladder gets and make plans/changes accordingly.
This happened at 6:00 and the good news is that Noah's bladder pretty much empties all the way!
They were able to come home after this.
We have a follow up with nephrology on Wednesday and a follow up with urology next week Monday.
So special that you were able to go to church since most around here were closed. Good to hear the good news but that sure was a long day. Good you could stay home. Praying for continued blessings.
