Today, Noah was once again very brave and courageous. Being put onto the operating table a mere 4 weeks after a huge surgery was no small thing.
Today was also another reminder for us to trust in the Lord's plan and timing.
Noah was very excited to be tube free after this surgery, but unfortunately he is not. The doctor put in a foley catheter to ensure that Noah's bladder stays empty to give the incisions from the other catheter time to heal properly and to let hos kidney continue to rest.
This catheter is more uncomfortable than the previous one, but at least we were given a leg bag, so Noah can wear pants and hide that he has a catheter in!
My heart was stronger going unto the operating room with Noah this time. Having a more predictable outcome, with Noah coming home the same day and with Rob waiting for me, I was able to hold it all together. The Lord definitely provided strength!
Noah's bloodwork this week required some minor med changes, but overall everything is stable.
Rob's follow up on Monday went well and we were assured that the ache that Rob feels is normal and will go away in time.
Due to the amount of tugging and pulling and the removal of multiple lymph nodes, that they had to do to remove Rob's kidney, there is bruising on his ribs, which is causing the ache.
We continue covet your prayers as Rob and Noah continue to recover and we as family adjust to a new normal.
