Recovery

Noah has now been home from the hospital for 1 week.

Last week Friday was only 2 days after surgery, and yet because Noah was on oral medication and was drinking a lot he was already able to come home.

It is always amazing just how quickly that happens! Day 1 after surgery, was quite rough day for Noah. He was in a lot of pain and was pretty grumpy. He barely wanted to move at all. All completely understandable.

He did, however, need to get up and walk a little bit and after that we took him for a walk in a stroller to say 'hello' to all his nurse friends. (This admission, we were put on the opposite end of the ward and had completely different nurses). Although he was grumpy, we could see that Noah was happy to see them again.
The highlight of day was when Danielle and Jordan showed up. :) It was so neat to see just how much good they did for him and how much they mean to each other.

Being home has done wonders, and is so much better than the hospital. Noah slept much better and was much happier once at home.
1 week after surgery he is able to walk short distances without crying, is playing on his tummy on his car mat and can sit on his own.
It was hard to see just ho little Noah could do after surgery, but quite something to see how quickly he can get back to it.

We are so thankful for Noah's recovery and continue to pray that the rest of his healing goes smoothly and that infection stays away.

Waiting my turn...

Daddy is suited up to bring Noah to the OR.

Surgery is hard, and very tiring.

Sleeping at home is much better.

I can't lay on my tummy to play with my cars, so this is the next best thing.

I can't walk....so now I get a ride too!

1 week after surgery!!!!

Still can't stand for too long, but this works!
