‘Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on, your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.’ Proverbs 3:5
Tomorrow is the big day – the day we meet with a team of doctors and decide on a plan of care for Noah. I would really like to stick my head under a pillow and not pull it out until tomorrow is over…
The thought of having to think about and plan more surgeries for Noah is heart wrenching. He is doing so well, why change things?!
Last year at this time, things were so very different. Noah was seriously sick and we came so very close to losing him. We spent the holiday season with Noah in the hospital, constant worry and anxiety our companions.
This year, Noah is healthy and home with us. He is participating in holiday events –playing in the snow, tree decorating, looking at Christmas lights and opening presents. It’s been wonderful! God has certainly blessed us.
This health is not something that we take for granted, especially in light of all that lies in store for Noah and yet we praise God for the gifts that He has given to us.
I am currently 33 weeks pregnant. Things have gone far differently this time around and we’ve been enjoying being able to enjoy this pregnancy and have the kids share in our excitement.
In reading back to this point in my pregnancy with Noah, I read about how overwhelmed we were with all the appointments and information. There was so much that was unknown in regards to Noah’s birth and while we were praying for a miracle, we were also preparing for a loss.
And here we are, 2 ½ years later and Noah is still here with us and is such a blessing to us. A constant reminder that we do serve a God who performs miracle, a God who takes care of His children and hears our every cry, our every prayer. We pray that the LORD will guide the team of doctors as they (and we) discuss a plan for Noah and pray that His care for Noah will continue in the months and years to come.

Dear Rob and Anne and family,
ReplyDeleteWe pray that the best way forward may be made clear today in your consultation with the doctors, and that you may be given peace with your decision, whatever it is.
You'll be in our thoughts and prayers today.
Love Will and Chris and family.
