I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Today, I kept thinking that it was Friday, and to be honest with you I wish it was. If it was, it would mean that tomorrow would already be over and I would be thankful for that.

You see, tomorrow we are headed to “the hospital with the number ‘h’” (as Jordan calls it).
I got a call yesterday that Noah could go in for a spinal MRI tomorrow morning. As much as this is a good thing (I mean, he got in really fast), I don’t like MRIs. They’re not painful or anything, I just keep remembering that last MRI that Noah had and it isn’t bringing up great memories. For the last MRI that Noah had, I was with him as they put him off to sleep – he was not impressed and fought it hard, crying the entire time until the gas kicked in and he fell asleep. It’s a hard memory to shake.
I am praying that the port will make all the difference tomorrow and they can put him to sleep using IV instead of the mask.
I am thankful that I will not be going in alone tomorrow: I have a wonderful husband, who knows without my asking, when I really need him by my side. What a blessing he is!

Noah is also scheduled for his ECG (the nerve test on his legs) next week. With both of these appointments happening so quick, we hope that we will be able to meet with the surgeon again soon to discuss whether or not Noah will need to have the tethered cord surgery or not.

In other family news:
I went for my 20 week ultrasound last week. It wasn't easy to wait to see this little one moving around and make sure that everything looks okay.

We are so thankful to say that the LORD has richly blessed us and has made all things well with this baby.
I was able to see him/her and check for myself that things looked well - after seeing so many ultrasounds, it's not hard to know what to look for! and the technician also showed me the baby's bladder, which is nice and small, and there is a nice flat stomach and lots of movement.

The doctor also called to confirm the next day that everything is well and it is amazing, the weight that was lifted from our shoulders upon hearing this news. God has certainly answered our prayers.

This pregnancy will be a whole different experience for us, as we can sit back and enjoy this blessing that God has given us and not wait on pins and needles with each appointment and ultrasound made.

Therefore stand in awe of God. Ecclesiates 5:7b
