Our summer has been going very smoothly and we've been enjoying every moment of all being home together with life being 'normal'.
As it is, the flu bug has been going around and it has hit our home. It also seems to have hoit Noah, and twice as hard as everyone else. Noah had not been himself for the past few days, with very runny/watery stool and then on Wednesday vomitting as well. We were scheduled for a monthly port flush on Thursday and so I brought him in as usual and all of the nurses commented on the fact that Noah did not look well - very lethargic, dark, sunken eyes and so this comfirmed to me that I needed to take him in to be looked at.
Noah has now been admitted to hospital due to dehydration. In emerge, he was immediately put on fluids and within a couple of hours he had perked up and was like his regular self. He is now on constant fluids and being monitored as his stool is still pouring out very watery.
We are also currently looking at a possible bladder infection, but time will tell what those results will be.
He is able to eat, which helps keep him happy! He has also been given his 'old' 'suite' back (a huge private room with a nice city view and a tv).
Noah is comfortable and quite content, although leery of anyone who comes into his room dressed in a yellow gown.
Although is is not pleasant and is so unexpected, we are so thankful for how well things have been going and are once again so thankful for such a fabulous hospital and knowledgeable staff so close to home.

Aw :( I'm so sorry to hear of this, Anne! I hope he is back home soon - he is such a sweetheart! I can see his cheery smile as I write this :)
