This past day we have been taught, and told, that we do not always have to be strong. It is okay to fall apart, to cry.
Our LORD is Sovereign and we may never understand the things that happen to us, yet we can hope in the LORD and rest in His care. This is not always easy, yet we know that we can do this, and that the arms of our LORD are ready to carry us.
We are frustrated that leaving Noah lying sick in the hospital and coming home has become so normal for us...
We would like to thank everyone for the responses and comments that you have sent our way. Not one of them goes unread and each one is greatly appreciated.
Noah did not have a great night. He was given a rectal flush (Flushing out his bowels from the bottom) as well as being put on an aggressive laxative from the top. He did not tolerate the laxative well in his stomach and ended up vomiting at least half of it and he has not stooled very much either.
The plan is to try this process again today in the hopess of clearing out his bowels.
Noah had a CT scan done yesterday to determine if there were any loops in his bowels that had been missed. Thankfully there are none.
What they beleive is the cause of this is that Noah was not on enough of a laxative to keep things running smoothly enough; added to this is the fact that his bum has enough muscle to contract and hold things in, yet from his upper colon, they do not know how much muscle he has to force things down, combined with not having abdominal muscle to help push things out.
There is no surgical plan at this point (there are a few options available if needed). A GI team is going to be involved now, to help us with a proper diet to help Noah.
We pray that in due time this may be sorted out for Noah.

Oh Anne and Rob, what a difficult road! Yes, it is okay to cry; "My troubles and my woes you count and see. Put all my tears, O God to Whom I flee, into Your bottle and remember me...." (Psalm 56:4 BofP)!! (Although this refers to being besieged by enemies, the words may certainly be taken to heart also in this situation) Sending our thoughts and prayers for ongoing trust and strength....
