We enjoyed 3 days at home together as family. Danielle and Jordan were thrilled to have Noah back home, constantly checking on him and simply taking comfort in the fact that he was near. I enjoyed 'playing house' again and Rob got the garage cleared out.
We are sad to tell you that Noah is once again being admitted to the hospital. While home, Noah was happy and eating well, yet he was not passing stool very much at all; not nearly what he should. On Friday I did take him in to see his doctor and we had an xray done. This showed a lot of stool that needed to come out, but b/c Noah's bum was still open and able to pass some stool, the doctor was not overly concerned and sent us home.
This morning Noah would have nothing to do with eating and everything made him grumpy. His tummy was bloated b/c of how full of stool it was.
I brought Noah in and his doctored immediately ordered IV as well as a tube in his nose to suction his stomach as Noah had begun to vomit once we arrived at the hospital.
Many tests have been done and Noah does have a bladder infection. Now we need to determine if Noah is backed up b/c there is a kink or twist in his bowels from surgery or if he was so constipated that he is now getting sick. The doctors are also concerned at this point that the infection may have spread to his blood. (Noah has been very lethargic throughout all the tests, even falling asleep during the IV pokes).
Noah will be in the paediatric ICU at least overnight. Drs are waiting for test results before deciding on further treatment. We ask for your prayers at this time, as we face another setback that God, in His good will, has planned.
