Recovery

Noah is now on day 3 post-op.
He has had it rough the past 2 days. Noah has been very grumpy, offering no smiles or acknowledgement that he is happy we are here with him; this is completely understandable, yet it makes being by his side much harder b/c we just want our NOah back!
Noah has also had much discomfort and bowel pain as things start to move through his bowels again.
He has also been on oxygen again as being under anastheic for so long caused some congestion in his chest. The first day it was clear that Noah wanted to cough to try to clear things up, but coughing hurt his tummy, so he didn't want to. We are thankful that this morning his lungs sound much better than yesterday!

I am thankful to say that this morning Noah ate a small yogurt and drank some water! His protests to the nurse's check-up was also welcome b/c he is al least being vocal with us!

Noah is on the mend, albeit slowly, which is expected. We know he is in good hands here in this hospital with the talented madical staff and we praise God that we have this so readily available to us. Noah is also in the care of the MAster Physician, and for this we are completely humbled and thankful.

As parents, we are doing well. It's never easy to see your child in pain and we wish each moment that we could trade places with him. Yet, day by day, we recieve the strength and peace we need to get through each hour.
Danielle and Jordan have been caomping through this all and having a wonderful time! What a great distraction for them, and a relief for us to know they are well taken care of and enjoying themselves!
