'I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.' Ps. 40:8
Noah has been doing well since surgery last Wednesday. He really seemed to bounce back after this surgery; he did not require oxygen at all, and within hours he was pointing to his water and 'talking' to us.
Noah has been uncomfortable when he needs to pass gas, and he has also been pooping, which is exciting! I can imagine that it must be so strange to him, having everything happen at his bum now (as he no longer has his bag), but he's been doing really well!
(We've been told that we're using 'doctor language' to describe everything, and I apologize for this. In the rush of getting emails sent, we don't think about it too much b/c we understand much of it these days! Hopfeully you understand the jist of everything that happened!)
Noah has been enjoying visits from Danielle and Jordan - his face lights up the moment he hears their voices and it is so precious to see! He feels our nearness and that is all he needs at times.
From a surgery recovery point of view, Noah is ready to come home, and in fact discharge papers had been written up yesterday, but Noah is not yet ready to come home as he seems to have caught a bug or something. He was vomiting everything up yesterday and it did not look well. He was not himself; he did manage to perk up for some visitors and yet shortly after everyone was gone, he was sick again. It made leaving so very difficult last night and we pray that this will be a short-lived illness.
Danielle and Jordan came home last Thursday and is was so nice to have them back! Life has been stressfull for all of us and these days are not passed. Noah is not yet home, and so we need to divide our time between children, home and the hospital and it is difficult. Emotions run high and strength runs dry sometimes.
It has often been said to us that people do not know how we do it. The answer is that on our own, we cannot. In fact, many days it really feels like we can't, and yet we know that our Heavenly Father walks with us, beside us and it is during those moments and days that He carries us.
Thank you all for your love and support, words of encouragement, prayers, cards, meals and everythings. We have been truly blessed and words cannot fully express how much it means to us.
'Come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to receive His mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of need.' Hebrews 4: 16
