1 Year Kidney-versary!

Every good and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. James 1:17 This past year had been full of ups and downs, at times peaceful and other times feeling like we were on a rollercoaster. What a blessing that through all of it, our God has never changed! He has been so faithful to Noah, and to us, and we have so much to praise Him for. I realize that it has been an embarassingly long time since I have updated the blog. There are been a few milestones in Noah's life since I last gave everyone an update and I'll share those along with lots of pictures. At the end of June, Noah graduated Grade 8! We are so thankful for the time that Noah has at CCS. For the godly education that he received, the friends and memories he made and the support and encouragement of an amazing staff. Bladder News

Great is our Lord and abundant in power, His understanding is beyond all measure... The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love. Psalm 147: 5 & 11 How Great is Our God by Caleb & Kelsey It is amazing how quickly time goes by, and how long I have made you all wait for another update! Noah had another bloodwork appointment on May 21. This showed that, while his creatinine levels were still higher than they like, they are slowly coming down on their own! We were disappointed to find out that the team of doctors had met without us. In their discussions, they had determined that the result of Noah's high levels was due to his bladder. They were started takling about some major, irreversible bladder surgeries. We were not going to be quick to accept any of these options without further testing and meetings. Noah was scheduled for a urodynamics test which tests how much his bladder can hold by filling it up for him. This was scheduled for...

He's Back!

When we found out that Noah needed to go back into surgery, I asked Noah if he wanted me to put music on. He said 'yes'. I played a Scripture Lullabies playlist a d the first song that cam on is one that I've posted before, but was so timely once again. Be Still and Know by Scripture Lullabies The Lord provided for us in song while we waited. He also provided support by way of people. Rob's Dad was planning to visit him and my sister Brenda was planning to visit me. Both arrived shortly after we received the news that Noah needed to go back into surgery. God's providence is incredible! Noah is out of the Operating Room and is getting settled back in his room in the Paediatric Critical Care Unit. Surgery went well and Dr. S is pleased! They had initially placed Rob's kidney at Noah's back, under his liver, but where a kidney usually is. It turns out that the kidney did not like this placement. It was too constrained where it was, so they moved it and placed...
