The Lord willing Noah will be coming home later today! Noah has been doing very well. Already on Saturday he was taken off of oxygen and his IV came out and they decided to leave it out, so he has been on oral medication for the past few days. Over the weekend he also got a bladder infection, which they are treating him for now as well. He still sounds awful, coughing lots and with a rattle in his chest. But because he is off of everything, they cannot keep him in the hospital.
They had said yesterday that he could come home, but because he had an appointment scheduled for today, they decided to keep him one more night. He will have his ultrasound and his catheter will be taken out. If he can empty his bladder on his own, he will be able to come home today.
Noah is unreal to watch in the hospital. He is so happy! You would never to know to look at him that so much ails him at times. He smiles constantly and talks up a storm! The nurses say that if they are having a bad moment, they'll come in to Noah's room and get a smile from him and go away feeling better. He truly is a precious child!
I look forward to having Noah home! And having him home without anything extra attached to him! Of course, the worry is always there: will his chest clear up? Will he get another bladder infection? Will his bladder drain completely? And the list goes on and on. Thankfully we can start each day anew and place our hope in the Lord to sustain us.
